Is there anything that is useful to you and you think others should get it too? Email us and we can work it out. Can I use my own domain name like www.welcometomyshop.com? Yes, you can use your own domain for your store. A unique web address will be easier for your customers to remember. This service is offered at a yearly subscription rate. Do i need any computer knowledge to set up a store? No special knowledge is needed. If you know how to surf the web, you can set up a store. Our system is user-friendly, clean and neat. You can easily set up your store and start your business. We have also prepared HTML Guide for those we wanted to customize the layout of their store. What do i need to prepare before setting up a store? Know your products and an email address and you are ready to start. Read more at our Registration Guide. How long does it take for my store to be ready? After registration completes (takes less than half a minute), your store is ready for use. Add in your products, make changes to the operation details and layout if you want and you can start your business.
What is the difference between Blog and Professional view?
Online stores usually display their products listed in a table grid. Shopper need to go into product page for more details. We call this the professional store view. Only at YourOwnCart, we offer another option - Blogshop View. Similar to blog, products are displayed in a single column with all details shown. This is designed for merchants we have moved over from a blog. Keeping the similar layout for your customers, yet getting a better backend system to manage your products and orders. Can i host 3rd party applications or webpages in my store? You can create customized webpages with our Custom Pages Tool. But due to security issue, we do not allow 3rd party application. However you can suggest to us what you need and we will evaluate if it is possible to install in our system as a tool and benefit all other merchants. Can i edit the layout of my store to integrate the design into my existing website? Yes. You are free to change the layout of your shop. We have prepared a HTML Guide so you will know what to take note of when editing your layout. Store Operations
Yes, your customers can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or PayPal. Money will be transferred to your Paypal account directly. You do not need to collect any credit card number or worry about privacy issue for your customers. How will i know when i get an order? As soon as an order is placed, your customer will receive an order confirmation e-mail and you will receive an order notification e-mail. You can also see the order in the control panel. Orders made are recorded in realtime, with no delay. We are looking at the possibilities of notifying new orders via SMS service. Can i change my store name and URL after i register? Yes, you can change your store name anytime at your control panel. You will need to send an email request to our team for URL changes. I plan to sell thousands of products, will have I have add the product details one by one? No. We have a Bulk Upload Tool allowing you to add your entire product line to the online store with just a few clicks.
Are there sign up fees or any hidden fees i should know about? Our service is free. We do not charge any sign up fee, termination fee, transaction fee, or any other hidden fee. You only need to pay for any tool that you have subscribed, and these fee are charged before use. No after-billing. Do you charge any transaction fee for businesses in my store? No. Businesses in your store are in-charged and fully handled by you only. Although we have the records of your businesses in our database, we will not interfere and do not charge any transaction fee. Any things you're doing that help me and my business? We have long term plans for our future. Currently we are at initial stage and we focus on the system for you. We will be hosting sales campaigns and promotion events that could help your business and us. Our plans does not end here. We have many interesting ideas in mind and will release when its time. |
